As we get older, our skin starts to lose its elasticity and we start to see more wrinkles. Anti-wrinkle treatment and dermal fillers can help reduce the appearance of ageing.
Wrinkles are an inevitable part of ageing and can be accelerated by exposure to the sun, excessive stress, diet, and weight loss. These wrinkles can be ‘static’, caused by the gradual loss of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, or, they can be ‘dynamic’, caused by repeated facial muscle movements.
We offer non-surgical facial treatments to help eliminate these lines and plump up areas of lost elasticity.
Botox is an anti-wrinkle treatment that can be used to relax muscles in the face. Mainly used in the forehead, chin, jaw and neck, Botox reduces wrinkles as it gently tightens the muscles, softens lines and, as such, creates a more youthful appearance. We also use it to help tackle bruxism (teeth clenching and grinding).
Treatment takes around 10-15 minutes and the effects will show in a couple of days. There is no need for a recovery period following the procedure. Top-ups are recommended between three to six months.
Dermal fillers can enhance skin by smoothing lines and plumping up areas of lost elasticity. We use them to contour the cheeks and chin, correct acne or chicken pox scars, and fill deep lines. They can also restore a more youthful look to lips that have become thinner and lost definition.
These treatments work as the active ingredient in the fillers helps to stimulate cellular regeneration. Most dermal fillers use Hyaluronic Acid, a chemical that is already naturally present in the body.
There is no need to take time out to recover from treatment and the instant effects last several months.
Profhilo gives a healing, rejuvenating boost to the skin. It’s a five point needle that stimulates natural collagen and can be used in various places, most commonly, the face, neck and hands. It leaves skin looking and feeling brighter, fresher and rejuvenated. Two sessions are required to see results, four weeks apart, followed by a top-up two to three months after. Each top-up after that is recommended every six months.
